For Buigbaar.nl, a company in kitchen walls and lighting, I am setting up an automated content pipeline with a dashboard to run it from.
Currently working on thisQuick experiments, prints, sketches and material tests.
Industrial Product Design student, looking for a graduation internship.
I’m Tim Morera Garcia. I study Industrial Product Design at Hogeschool Rotterdam, after starting in Built Environment and realising I’d rather design things at the scale of a hand than a building.
For as long as I can remember I’ve been looking for smart solutions to the problems I run into in everyday life. What I like most is the moment a design stops being a drawing and becomes something you can pick up and use.
I work well in a team. I listen, but I’m happy to take the lead when a project needs direction.
Product development, CAD, 3D printing and prototyping.
Research and development on street furniture for public space: concept work, CAD, and testing prototypes.
Technical drawing, structures and spatial design, before moving into product design.

A small web app I built next to the mobile medical unit. The cargo bike brings a GP to homeless people; this is how they can reach it.
Someone can ask for medical help, call the unit to where they are, or find a walk-in location nearby. They can also ask for clothes, food or hygiene products, so the team brings what is needed on the same round. No contact details required.
A chatbot answers questions about care and locations, and the team handles the requests in a worker portal.
A garden bench I designed and built myself at home. Two open side frames carry a seat of 180 cm, and slats close the back and the sides.
I kept it to one board size, 15 by 4 cm, so the whole bench comes out of a short cut list: 62 and 80 cm pieces for the frames, long boards for the seat. Sketch the parts, cut everything to length, build the frames, join, add the slats, stain.
A serving tray made from three pieces of burl wood, cast in green epoxy.
The wood goes into a mould, the pigmented resin is weighed, mixed and poured into the gaps, and after curing the block is flattened and sanded smooth. Where the resin runs thin over the wood it turns translucent, which you can see on the back.
